Psychotherapy for adults,
children, and couples
A calm, collaborative space to understand your patterns, strengthen your relationships, and gain autonomy over your life.
Many of us move through life without fully understanding our emotions, relationships, or, most importantly, ourselves. It can feel like navigating in the dark.
Psychotherapy can help flip that switch by offering a space to slow down, reflect, and bring the unconscious into awareness. This can help you make more intentional choices and feel freer from past burdens. Together, we’ll explore how your early experiences may still shape your current struggles. We’ll also pay close attention to your present thoughts, emotions, and relationships, including the one we build in therapy.
Meet Dr. Zigelstein
I believe meaningful change begins with a space where people feel understood. My approach is warm and grounded in psychodynamic therapy, with cognitive-behavioral strategies woven in. I’ve worked in community clinics, inpatient and outpatient hospital units, and psychiatric emergency rooms. Meeting people where they are, often at their most vulnerable, has taught me to see each person beyond a diagnosis.
Who I work with
Adults
Individual therapy is for anyone dealing with anxiety, low mood, grief, or a major life change, or who simply feels stuck. Sessions focus on what’s weighing on you now and what’s driving it, so relief lasts beyond the hour.
Children
Children often express what they feel through play and behavior before they have the words. I use play therapy to help them name the big feelings and build coping skills, and I keep parents informed and involved in a way that fits each child.
Couples
Grounded in attachment theory, therapy looks at the needs and fears underneath the arguments, like feeling unheard, shut out, or alone. Sessions help partners respond to each other with openness, repair after conflict, and rebuild closeness.
